BISI funds research on Iraq with a wide academic coverage including anthropology, archaeology, history, geography and languages of Iraq and other fields in the arts, humanities and social sciences from the earliest times to the present and supports individuals conducting public education and working on engagement projects that promote greater understanding of Iraq's history, society & culture.
We provide a range of grants for research, outreach, Visiting Iraqi Scholars; we publish an international peer reviewed Journal Iraq (started 1934) and other publications and; We hold a range of events in London plus conferences and workshops from time to time.
