Objectives

The British Friends of Reuth is a registered UK charity and has been active for over seven decades in assisting Reuth's work in Israel in the field of healthcare and social welfare. The British Friends raises funds and awareness for the Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Known for high professional standards and a warm, supportive atmosphere, Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital offers short-term as well as long-term care. Patients reflect the mosaic of Israeli society – from elderly Holocaust survivors, victims of terror and war disabled to car accident victims and young children. Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital provides medical care characterized by cutting edge rehabilitation treatment within a holistic approach. Technological innovation offer hospital patients a variety of advanced rehabilitation methods and high technology devices. Each patient receives an individualized multi-faceted and interdisciplinary program of medical, physical and psychological therapy. “Quality of Life” therapies including music, drama, animal and garden therapies are implemented for the patients as well as their families as an integral part of rehabilitation.

Our aim is to rehabilitate patients to their maximum in order to enable them to return to their families and workplace. Every year, 1,500 patients are rehabilitated and return to their homes and communities.

Activities

We organise various events in London, in order to raise funds and awareness for the Reuth Rehabilitation in Israel. The events vary from film premiers, comedy evenings and exclusive parlour evenings.
