Objectives

Bristol Volunteers for Development Abroad is a registered charity (1173282). We encourage students of Bristol University to make a difference in developing countries through overseas volunteering whilst also working hard to raise awareness of international development within the UK.

Our vision is of a global community working together to deliver sustainable positive change. Our mission is to inspire and enable students to actively engage in sustainable international development.

Activities

Led by students we:

a) Work in partnership with communities and grassroot organisations. We deliver sustainable development projects including education, capacity building, water, sanitation and health initiatives.

b) Provide a platform for a meaningful discussion around international development.

c) Give students the opportunity to develop skills for the future through international volunteering, empowering them to become active citizens.
