Counselling and other psychological support is offered to all people affected by stroke, including their carers, as we recognise that many people need professional emotional or psychological support to adjust to their life after stroke

Activities
Bristol After Stroke provides a range of services that include;
Stroke coordinator services that offer information, advice and an assessment of needs.
Support groups - we facilitate a range of groups, cafe's and drop ins where people can meet others in similar situation to themselves in a supportive and understanding environment.
Courses - we provide a psycho educational programme designed to support low mood and anxiety, we also provide a physiotherapy led 8 week course.
Counselling - a stroke can leave lasting emotional and psychological impacts, we offer one to one counselling to support stroke affected people and their families.
