The Bristol Sea Cadets (TS Adventure) are based at the western end of Bristol Harbouside. Our objective is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC).
Bristol Sea Cadets usually meet twice a week from 7pm to 9:30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays (Mondays and Fridays for Royal Marine Cadets) and provides a large range of activities both on and off the water. Our tailor-made program offers young people the opportunity to try their hand at sailing, power boating and rowing. We are a RYA approved training centre offering our young people nationally recognised qualifications to follow them through later life. Whilst our waterborne training acts as a corner stone to what we aim to achieve, our cadets can also earn vocational BTEC qualifications, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and other qualificaitons in first aid, engineering, communications, and navigation to name but a few. On a national basis, our cadets have the opportunity to attend courses, camps, competitions and events and to take part in offshore voyages and overseas adventures including chances to work and develop life skills, whilst all being underpinned by adventure and friendship.
