Objectives

Boston Community Transport (BCT) is a registered charity, operating, coordinating and promoting a specialist, affordable local transport service for residents of Boston and the surrounding villages. We are there for local residents who cannot afford taxis or use public transport, or simply to assist people in getting back into the community. The service is essential and very personalised, even accompanying people if need be.

Activities

We are a membership-based scheme, which is £12 per person per year. Every member uses this service mainly due to geographical remoteness, a lack of public transport, disability, ill-health, loneliness, frailty, financial disadvantage, vulnerability and anyone who needs supported travel.

Our community car scheme is operated by volunteer drivers and booking clerks under the supervision of a coordinator, who reports to a Board of Trustees who ensure corporate governance.
