Objectives

Our community workshop has been developed to provide wide-ranging activities for men/women 18+ who are interested In woodworking and up-cycling. We are part of the UK Men's Sheds Association. Our base is located in Bootle Strand Shopping Centre where we also have a shop. We aim to reduce social isolation by bringing people together through  a shared interest. Many people do not have access to the DIY tools and equipment to build, repair and transform items - and we provide that facility. Our members also get involved in our Community Projects. This can be making wooden planters, benches, bird-boxes etc to be put in local spaces such as parks /gardens.

  • We help people share skills -  promoting individuals' self-confidence and sense of accomplishment
  • We offer a build / repair service -  producing good quality items for local residents
  • Our ethos is repair, recycle, re-use - to help the environment & reduce costs
  • We engage with other organisations and services to ensure our positive impact reaches further
