BESTT is a voluntary-run charity entirely devoted to the training of heritage engineers, including young people with no previous experience in the sector, in order to safely maintain the UK’s working heritage of steam railway locomotives, steam vessels and road vehicles for future generations to enjoy.
We have provided a range of one year traineeships supported by funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and we also provide short courses on a self funding basis together with bespoke advice to heritage operators on safety and competence issues.
