Bloodrun Emergency Voluntary Service (EVS) is a blood bike charity established in 2010, to provide a free, voluntary courier service to North East NHS hospitals and Trusts.
The charity is staffed by unpaid volunteers who give up their time in order to provide this vital service to the NHS; saving them much needed money and providing a professional transportation service.
We cover an area as far North as Peterlee, South down to Northallerton, West to Catterisk and East to Redcar.
Our operation area means we serve the North Tees and South Tees trusts predominently. However we also relay with other neighbouring Blood Bike groups to travel futher when needed.
Hospitals are our main work, however we help with doctors surgeries, out of hours blood work and relays through the week to Newcastle and Sunderland.
We are always looking to help as many locations as we can while saving the NHS money. If you think we can help you please get in touch with us.
We operate on a bespoke Software solution which allows us to accept and manage requests from our clients automatically. Our rota systems are all digital and nearly all areas of volunteer management are digitally managed.
Our technology allows us to generate reports on any aspect of our work when required and maintain our high standards from receiving a request to auditing afterwards.
All of our vehicles are tracked 24/7 by our own internal tracking system, allowing us to give the best response times and monitor our volunteers when on duty.
We are looking for somebody with a background in financial management to join our board of Trustees as Treasurer. Our board currently has 5 members...
