Objectives

The Black Curriculum helps 11-16 year olds learn Black British History in schools through the arts. This is important as the national curriculum is highly Eurocentric and does not include Black History.

Teaching Black History ALL year normalises Black history and makes and helps to improve understandings. As a result, our aim is to raise awareness, bring a sense of identity and belonging and improve attainment.

Activities

We deliver sessions all year round in schools to teach Black British History
