The Oddfellows is a long standing Friendly Society that seeks to promote the well being  of the over 50's. Our moto is "making friends & helping people".  Established in 1810 our role has evolved to date to include the provision of social activities to support communities, reducing social isolation and encouraging seniors to get the most  out of life and become more active.  Oddfellows provide care and welfare support to those in need and a citizens advice line . As a member led organisation we encourage people to take control, participate in their local groups so that they can make changes to better their lives and give mutual support.

The Birmingham Oddfellows seeks to provide a range of social activities for older people who may be in a variety of life circumstances; recently bereaved, caring for a spouse with an illness, recently retired and wanting to explore new avenues, or having moved to a new location and needing to rebuild a support network. By forming  local friendship groups people can reduce social isolation and forge relationships, strengthening their communities.
