Objectives

Our Child Contact Centre is a meeting place where children of separated families can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents and sometimes other family members in a comfortable and safe environment  when there is no other alternative. Can you spare a couple of hours per month, per fortnight or per week on Saturdays, to help run this much needed inner city Contact Centre.

Our Charity is supported by BBC Children in Need.

We are looking to recruit volunteers from all walks of life who may have skills in Accounting/book keeping, Information Technology, child support, family support etc., to be session Volunteers or to lend support in other ways and disciplines. Helping new families to settle in. Team leaders are also required to encourage and motivate our Volunteers. Full training and support will be given as well as free tea/coffee and biscuits!!!

Activities

  • We provide a toy filled, neutral environment where child centred contact will take place
  • A warm and comfortable atmosphere for both Children and Parents.
  • A safe caring environment where the resident parent can leave a child with confidence that they will be safe.
  • A place where there will be no arguments or discord allowing the children and Parent(s) to relax.
