Objectives

Bethlehem’s healthcare system is underdeveloped and healthcare delivery is patchy. And whilst family networks are strong in Bethlehem, without palliative support, they are unable to help or comfort their loved ones. Cancer contributes to 1 in 6 deaths and of that number 75% are at stage 4 when first diagnosed.

We have established a dedicated hospice at home care service which provides specialist nursing care and support to people with end of life illnesses, in the comfort of their own homes. and support to their families

We are at an early stage in the provision of our services. The demand is greater than we can provide for. Our aim is to provide additional Hospice Care when funds permit.

Activities

IN the UK we raise the profile of the problem and raise funds to help alleviate suffering.

In Bethlehem our specialist palliative care staff support and provide care for terminally ill patients and their families.
