Objectives

The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) has a mission to restore nature across these beautiful counties and empower people to connect with their local wildlife. Our vision is to see ‘more nature everywhere’.

Our expert team work with more than 1,700 volunteers to look after 85 nature reserves and four education centres, run hundreds of amazing events, and campaign to make nature’s recovery a reality.

Activities

BBOWT works to give wildlife a helping hand across our three counties. This includes monitoring species and running projects to support declining species and threatened habitats.

We look after more than 80 nature reserves, which are central to our work to secure a better future for wildlife.  As well as working with other landowners to create Living Landscapes for the benefit of wildlife and people.

Our expert staff offer advice to individuals, planners, developers and landowners about how to protect and enhance gardens and habitats for wildlife.

We work with politicians, planners and members of the public to make sure nature’s value is recognised, and to influence policy and decisions affecting wildlife.

Our education programmes and events inspire people about wildlife to ensure that as many people as possible appreciate the precious natural resources of or three counties.
