We work alongside people with learning difficulties and/or autism in Kent and Medway as equal partners to achieve their life goals. We specialise in developing the skills, confidence and independence to play a full role in society. We support young people to move from education into paid work, based on their qualities as a contributor to a business. When over 80% of the working age population has a job, but this falls to just 6% of adults with learning difficulties, our work is vital. It's life-changing for those we support, and immensely fulfilling for those who volunteer with us in governing roles.
We deliver workplace-based learning in the context of post-16 education, to build a bridge between classroom education and the world of work. As an education programme, our work is regulated and needs excellent governance. Called 'supported internships' the programme operates in Medway and East Kent. We are growing year on year with exciting plans to scale elsewhere in Kent and beyond.
