Organisation type:
Geographical remit:

We want to reach people in the London Borough of Ealing who are isolated and lonely. Those who go for days at a time without seeing anyone. We have been running since 1994, and support people through volunteer befriending and advocacy.

For many people, our volunteers are the only regular visitors they get!

We support people through 3 projects:

-Core Befriending: this is our befriending project which has been running since 1994, and usually supports older adults

-Linked Minds: Our mental health befriending project was set up in 2018 to support adults in Ealing who are isolated because of mental health problems. All volunteers receive extra training in mental health awareness.

-Carers Short Breaks: this project was set up in 2019 as part of a consortia of 6 local groups, to support carers to go and have a short break of 3 hours while the cared for person has the support of a befriender.
