Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) is the leading community development agency working across Bedfordshire, with a proven track record built up over 60 years. BRCC also serves as the Rural Community Council (RCC) for Bedfordshire, one of 38 RCCs in England working together under the national umbrella body, ACRE.
BRCC exists to help people and communities to do more for themselves. We support disadvantaged people to access services and employment, and communities to get involved in managing their local assets. We provide volunteering opportunities for people to contribute to local community life.
Our three main areas of work are as follows:
1) Supporting Communities (including community development, rural housing, support to community groups, Village Agents, and Green Infrastructure-related services)
2) Rural development (including European Rural Development Programmes, Landscape Partnership, The Bridge project, and Warden Abbey Community Vineyard)
3) Community Transport (including dial-a-ride, community bus services, Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership and Wheels2Work).
