Beds GOVET (Bedfordshire Great Ouse Valley Environmental Trust) is a newly registered conservation and environmental protection charity, May 2022. Aims are the conservation and protection of the valley and environs; biodiversity monitoring and enhancement, water, air and soil quality, climate mitigation strategies, education. Research projects in conjunction with academic institutions are underway. A bank account, insurance and website are in construction. Grant funding research has begun. Trustees who can represent parts of the Ouse Valley throughout Beds are welcome. Specific skills in any of the following are particularly welcome; financial management and strategy, marketing, social media management, website management. Meetings tend to be monthly and currently in North Beds. Hybrid meetings can be arranged.

Charitable objects
To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the Great Ouse valley and environs in Bedfordshire through a program of river monitoring and community engagement and by the advancement of the education of the public in the understanding of the importance of river quality on biodiversity, economic and social activity.
Citizen science, research, monitoring, wellbeing walks, lectures, support to farms for DEFRA grant monitoring, liaison with partner bodies such as Cranfield University, CPRE, Beds Natural History Society, UBOCP, Wildlife Trust, Cambs GOVET etc.
