Objectives

Our Mission is to welcome people fleeing persecution and seeking safety in the UK, offer them practical support, and help them  to settle in the Bath and the surrounding area. We aim to support individuals and families in a manner which empowers and encourages independence, and helps them feel connected to the local community

Activities

We set up a property to provide a comfortable welcoming home in Bath and the surrounding area. Each family will have varying needs but in general we provide an introduction to the local area including shops, public transport, faith and community groups, help with registration with schools, doctors and dentists , banks and gettting into employment. We provide interpreters for appointments with doctors and job centres. We also provide English lessons covering refugees with no English and those requiring to improve their English for employment or educational perposes. These classes may be on a one to one basis, held in a group or in individual's homes.

We provide opportunities for families to socialise and meet other members of the local community including art and play activities for the children
