Bath Mencap Society is a local charity supporting people with learning disabilities, their families and carers, in Bath and the surrounding area. Our vision is for people with in the Bath area, with a learning disability, to live fulfilling lives, where they are valued equally, listened to, and included. We believe everyone with learning disabilities should have the opportunity to be part of the community in Bath.
We currently offer a small range of services to our members, such as the Sunday Lunch Club, 10 Pin Bowling, and the Gateway Award Scheme, and we also offer support to other local Gateway Clubs, to which many of our members belong. The Bath Junior Gateway Club, working with 8 - 18 year old age groups, recently merged with us, and is now operating as a Gateway Club under the Bath Mencap umbrella. We are looking to expand the range of services on offer over the next 12 months.
