Objectives

The Barn Owl Centre has been established since 1997 as a non-profit organisation, later registering as a charity in 2003. Since becoming a charity, our organisation has flourished with huge demand from landowners and the general public, (all age groups) both locally and UK wide. With the way society is rapidly changing, we are bringing forward a grand masterplan that will open many doors whilst enable our charity to be more robust and sustainable for years to come. Our Ethos, determination and our amazing site location/environment all play a vital role in our strength to bring forward an amazing masterplan. With all the right ingredients in place, combined with the right approach and right connections, we feel very strongly that we can deliver a specialised charity that can alleviate a lot of pain and negative pressures placed on today's society, whilst helping wildlife! NB: With important changes being made at all levels within the charity, our website will need to be modified over time to keep our supporters up to date.

Activities

As a small team who work daily and most evenings to support our charity's objectives, Our objectives are quite diverse but mainly focus on Owl & Raptor Conservation/Education plus work that involves on rescue and rehabilitation with 47 resident birds supported at the Farm 24/7, Managing our farms 12.5 acre Nature Reserve is also a key factor as this provides our charity with a an amazing environment that supports local wildlife & those interested in volunteering. In addition we have an Owl Box wood working shop where we produce Owl Boxes for our own project sites & for farmers UK wide. All in all we are always very busy with some great opportunities for volunteers to get involved.
