Objectives

Since the establishment of BABY-I, in 2011, as a non-profit organization, we have operated independently, and with no government funding. instead, we rely on the local boroughs entities who provided us with space for our projects. We are dedicated to supporting mothers who are facing challenges during or after pregnancy and are unable to care for their newborns.

Activities

To achieve this, we provide:

Direct support: Offering resources, counseling, and assistance to mothers in need.

Collaborative efforts: Working closely with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations to identify and address underlying issues contributing to infant abandonment.

Research and advocacy: Supporting research projects to better understand the factors influencing maternal decision-making and advocating for policies that promote maternal well-being and child safety. By implementing these strategies, we aim to create a supportive environment where mothers feel empowered to seek help, reduce the incidence of infant abandonment, and ensure the well-being of both mothers and their newborn babies.
