Aylesbury Vale Rape Crisis is a registered charity which has been supporting women and girls since 1995. We support women and girls who are 16 years and above who have experienced any kind of sexual violence recently or in the past. The services we offer are: counselling, practical and emotional support through our ISVA service, telephone support and email support. We are also going to pilot group work during the autumn 2016 as a result of service user feedback.
Unsupported victims can develop many physical and psychological problems which affects their personal and social life impeding social and community interaction, employment, education, personal relationships etc. The support Aylesbury Vale Rape Crisis offers will help them overcome these hurdles to become better integrated with the society and to become productive members of the community.
The main services that Aylesbury Vale Rape Crisis provides are counselling, telephone support, email support, emotional support and advocacy/ISVA support. The women receiving support are directly benefitting from our services. In addition, there are a number of family members, friends and partners also benefitting indirectly from our services. The services we deliver are developed from the needs and wishes of service users. Service users are consulted through different feedback- and monitoring forms several times throughout the year and changes are made, if possible within our financial limits.
