Avonbourne Academies believes that every child matters and every lesson counts. We also believe in the limitless potential of our students and, as such, sports and arts provide the heartbeat of the academies whilst academic rigor and high attainment in all subjects allows our student access to the post 16 courses of their choosing. Our aim is to not only support students to achieve excellent exam results but to also provide opportunities that challenge them to experience new things, explore their interests and develop their talents. These opportunities equip our young people with the character attributes that will enable them to succeed in later life. Students can access a huge number of extra-curricular opportunities across the Academies, and we are hugely proud of our sports teams, creative performers and STEM enthusiasts.
Implementing the National Curriculum for English secondary schools, Avonbourne is a highly inclusive school that caters for the needs of all students. We ensure our most able students are stretched academically and students with special educational needs and disabilities are expertly supported, allowing the Academies to ensure the best in everyone.
