Objectives

Our vision is for autistic people to be fully accepted in their community and to be able to thrive and achieve.

Autism Bucks aims to inspire, inform and involve the community in relation to autism.

To inspire – changing attitudes and improving public understanding of autism through the sharing of stories and ideas that will promote and represent the needs and potential of autistic people 

To inform – widen access to information, training and practical advice to communities and professionals across Buckinghamshire; through online resources, events and locally developed peer groups

To involve – giving voice to autistic people, their families and others; providing informal and formal opportunities to give views and opinions regarding services in Buckinghamshire

Activities

We support autism, autistic adults and carers in Buckinghamshire

  • We maintain a website, which contains a wealth of information & advice
  • We hold social gatherings where our members meet face-to-face or online
  • We offer advice and help to organisations looking to improve their understanding of autism.
