AGIP Objectives:
(a) to advance public education in the theory and practice of pluralistic psychoanalytic psychotherapy;
(b) to relieve psychological distress through the training and services in pluralistic psychoanalytic psychotherapy;
(c) to promote or assist in the promotion of research in the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy;
(d) to develop and maintain the highest possible standards of professional excellence and ethical conduct in the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
AGIP offers a nationally recognised four-year training in psychoanalytical psychotherapy at fees which are as low as possible for the trainees. Further training is offered through its CPD programme.
It also has a low-fee clinic (with fees between £10 and £25 related to the patient's income) for long-term intensive psychotherapy.
