Aspire Creating Communities became a charity in December 2019 having first being started in Huddersfield in 2015. The charity works with the over 55s with the aim to reduce social isolation. Aspire uses an Occupational Therapy based approach to support over 200 older adult to feel included in community, to enable creativity and inspire independence in later life.
We run a network of community groups across Kirklees led by an experienced Occupational Therapist. We work in partnership with local authority and other agencies who refer the most isolated service users to us to support.
