Objectives

The Ashby de la Zouch & District Agricultural Society exists for the advancement of agriculture by the improvement of stock and is committed to the support of agriculture and the bringing together of town and country.

To achieve these objectives, the Society holds an annual fundraising Agricultural Show and awards scholarships to Agricultural Students who live within the catchment area of the Show.

Activities

Ashby Show first started in 1904 at the Bath Grounds at Ashby de la Zouch, behind the Royal Hotel.

There was a break during some of the First & Second World War years when the Ashby Show was not held.

As it grew in size it moved to the beautiful site at Calke Park and when it again got too big it moved to Measham Lodge Farm.

This year the Show will be held at Cattows Farm by kind permission of Mr & Mrs A Ludlam.
