Objectives

ASCEND is based in South West Hertfordshire and tackles unemployment, social deprivation and learning difficulties in the surrounding community.  We provide training, advice, skills development and personal support so that the people we help will have the skills and confidence to realise their potential and participate fully in society.

Activities

We employ a small dedicated team to deliver training courses, provide careers advice, mentor clients and support their personal development.  ASCEND's training programmes include IT and other essential skills, art and crafts, health and wellbeing and gardening.  Our facilities include a health and wellbeing centre where clients can access a range of help from ASCEND and a number of partner charities, and a gardening project.  We offer volunteering opportunities as a way of developing people's skills.  Everyone is welcome and if we cannot provide the help that is needed we will help people access services from our partner agencies.
