Objectives

The Artists Club objective is based on the social model as we believe everyone if given the opportunity, is able to thrive within the arts whether it's in the appreciation or creation. By changing the way we approach people's differences we can create nurturing and fun environments where beautiful art can be made and confidence can be built. As we all know, art is subjective, and we strongly believe that because of this, all art has value no matter who the creator and that everyone just needs the opportunity to put it out there. With this in mind, we aim to cast as wide an audience as possible to increase our selling opportunities. This will also get the artists real feedback and their creative achievements will mean, even more, leading to a greater sense of self-worth. First and foremost, 'The Artists Club' is a celebration of art, and then it is a celebration of its makers.

Activities

We are a Community Interest Company that delivers weekly art workshops to adults with learning disabilities. We run exciting and engaging activities all based around a theme that changes every 6 months. At the end of the 6 months, we then hold an exhibition so all our artists can show off their work. This also gives the opportunity for the original artwork to be sold alongside a range of products that have also been created from the artists' designs. We are an exciting new company that aims to showcase the talents of all the artists involved and we hope that the organisation will steadily grow so that we can offer even more people the opportunity to create artwork to be proud of.
