Objectives

Anawim is a voluntary sector organisation based in Birmingham which provides support services to women and their children at its Centre in Balsall Heath, and in the community. Our key objective is to help women overcome problems or obstacles that adversely affect their lives, with the overriding aim that they achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Activities

Anawim exists to support women and their children, especially women vulnerable to exploitation including prostitution. It seeks to provide wider positive choices to help them achieve their goals  as part of the wider community. To this end Anawim treats everyone with dignity and respect, recognising that every woman and child matters as an individual. Anawim seeks to work with partners and other agencies to challenge that which degrades and diminishes.

Our services include rehabilitation, prison inreach, outreach, mental health, counselling, family support, early intervention, domestic violence, money advice and mentoring.
