Objectives

Amal Initiative is a Scholarship Assistant & Mentoring programme ,  our main aim is to support displaced students who are classified as refugees , stateless or living abroad under occupation and connect them with different university scholarships in the UK also abroad. We campaign toward free education for refugees in the UK without discrimination !

What we do:

1- We support displaced students in the UK and abroad to continue their higher education and connect them with university scholarships

2-We support their employment in the UK 1:1 for example CV and cover letter review and connect them with job opportunities.

3- We offer skills building such as mentoring and workshops (Education Mentor and employment coaching) . We are collaborating  with Tap in Palestine

Activities

1- Create a sanctuary community including students, academics and  university staff to build bridges of initiatives. Which will help displaced students to find out about other initiatives, combine expertise and create enthusiasm for new projects.

2-Develop a long term strategy such as a 10-year strategy, that offers a clear overview of the social impact we hope to have in that period. This strategy maximise refugee access to higher education in the UK or elsewhere, inspire them to pursue professional career and connect them with big companies

3-Develop partnerships with other communities and (non)government organisations ,This is equally important to support and share learning and to develop social impact.
