Our Vision
A world where obesity is fully understood through – Education, Research, Support & Resources, in order for people living with obesity to have access to support and treatment services and to live in a world free from stigma and discrimination.
Our Strategy
We aim, through influencing and campaigning, and bringing the experience of those living with obesity to the fore, to better understand obesity through research, improve access to services and treatment options and provide support and information for those living with obesity, policy makers and healthcare professionals.
Campaigning for change
We want to work closely with people living with obesity to identify the things that are most important to you and ensure these are actioned in our campaign work. Whether that is getting obesity recognised as chronic relapsing condition/disease, getting access to weight management services, access to new therapeutic drugs, or lobbying for more investment in obesity research.
Our research strategy
All About Obesity support and encourage research into obesity. We promote the need for research into obesity with a focus on causation, prevention, and areas of most concern to those living with obesity. We aim to convene the voices of people living with obesity with the appropriate research institutes and funding bodies. We will ensure that people living with obesity are at the fore front of future research through Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) to ensure there is an active partnership between people living with obesity and researchers. We will also ensure that when new obesity research gets published, we will publish a review of the study and its key findings on our website, to ensure that everyone can get access to these exciting developments
