  • Older people / later life

Other details

Geographical remit:

Age UK Suffolk works with and for older people in Suffolk, campaigns with them and on their behalf and is a provider of direct services and support across the county.

Older people tell us what later life is about: getting involved, enjoying yourself, learning new things and receiving help when you need it.

Therefore our mission is to enable older people and their family carers to

  • Manage the challenges that may come with ageing
  • Retain choice in, and control over, their lives
  • Enjoy later life rather than endure it.

Age UK Suffolk employs over 300 staff and has over 600 volunteers in its services and activities around the county.

As an independent charity we offer support to older people to give them more choice and control over their lives. Through our services we provide information and advice, befriending, benefits advice, practical help in the home, supported discharge from hospital, support for people living with dementia and much more.
