Age UK London works to improve the quality of life and enhance the status and influence of older people in London. It achieves this through the following aims:
To reflect and promote the views of older Londoners and to exert influence on individuals and organisations that make a difference to the wellbeing of older Londoners
To improve older Londoners’ experiences of the services available to them
To optimise the collaborative potential of organisations there to improve the lives of older people
Working with 24 independent and autonomous local Age UKs in London, it plays a key role in bringing together a wide network of older people’s organisations which work with Age UK London to influence the age policy agenda at a regional level.
Much of Age UK London’s work focuses on influencing regional government though campaigning on issues affecting the lives of older Londoners. We do this by working closely with both national and local charities.
