We recognise that expectation of a longer lifespan on a reduced income and a smaller social network can lead to difficulties. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of older people in the London Borough of Ealing through information, advice, support and providing social activities.
Our telephone support service is a hugely important service for socially isolated and housebound older people.
Neighbourly Connector scheme
A free befriending service offering companionship and support , helping older people in Ealing to engage with their community. The service is offered to people who are usually over 75, live alone, don’t have any regular visitors, would like to get out and reconnect with the local community. Our befrienders could provide weekly visits to:
share a cup of tea and a chat, accompany outings to the shops, social activities or local events, accompany trips to medical appointments, local health promotion talks or health checks, help with paperwork and IT, help find other services and resource
Information & Advice Age UK Ealing offers a free and confidential information and advice service for older people, their families and carers. Age UK Ealing is now also working in partnership to deliver advice to adult residents of Ealing with health and social care needs.
Our Information & Advice service provides advice about welfare benefits, housing, health and social care to people who have disabilities, mental health issues, sensory impairments, age related needs and carers. The Ealing Advice Service (EAS for short) offers free and confidential advice and support. EAS offers appointments at our main office in West Ealing, and we can arrange out-of-hours appointments for certain specialist advice on Wednesday evenings . We can assist with:

Our day centre is independently funded and currently operate on three days per week. We know how important it is for people to have somewhere to go and spend the day in order to socialise and take part in a variety of activities in a welcoming and warm environment
