Age UK Blackburn with Darwen is an independent local charity that provides a wide range of need based services and activities that support those aged 50 and over including those living with dementia. Our vision is for all older people to have the opportunity to live the life that they choose. Blackburn with Darwen is an ethnically diverse borough with high indices of poverty and poor health outcomes for many. Our services offer a strength based approach supporting people to live as independently as possible and to manage their own health and wellbeing. At a borough wide level we champion the needs of older people working with statutory and health services to deliver the Age Well strategy for the borough of Blackburn with Darwen and promoting an age friendly approach
We offer a range of services from both static locations within the borough and a number of outreach venues.
