ACT is a UK-registered charity formed in March 1999 with the vision to relieve poverty and advance development in Africa by educating disadvantaged fatherless children and orphans and supporting needy widows through training to generate income to sustain their families.
Our core activities can be summarised as follows:
- Educating fatherless and orphaned children up to completion of at least secondary education
- Empowering Widows/Guardians through counselling, literacy and business skills training enabling them to sustain their families
- Enriching entire Communities by providing technical and material support to local schools and health services specifically in relation to the HIV/AIDS crisis
- Sending out skilled volunteers to support our projects and activities.
