Objectives

Our beneficiaries are the residents of the poorest slum in Kampala, Uganda.

The main aims of Affcad UK are to relieve and prevent poverty, which we do by:
1. Providing financial support to schools and vocational training centres in Bwaise.

2. Empowering women by connecting people and organisations in the UK (and Worldwide) with the people of Bwaise. Such as assisting them to sell handmade bags in the UK as a means of providing an alternate source of income to hopefully negate a need to resort to commercial sex work

3. Working together with AFFCAD (Action for Fundamental Change and Development) in Uganda to plan, manage and evaluate health initiatives. And to provide education and vocational learning opportunities in the Education Centre in Bwaise.

Activities

We secure various UK funding sources which enable us to pay for a number of different projects in Kampala, some organised in conjunction with the Ugandan end of Affcad and some solely run by AffcadUk.
