Objectives

Advocacy means supporting somebody to become more involved in important decisions about their health and social care. Our Advocates help people in the community who have difficulty with communicating their thoughts, needs and wishes. They may also face difficulties with making decisions about things such as how or where they are cared for.

We provide high quality and totally free advocacy support that is completely independent of local authorities, the NHS and Social Services.

We help people to live the lives they want to live.

Activities

Advocacy Focus exists proudly and purely to make a positive difference to the lives of people in our community who would benefit from having a 'voice' that they may otherwise struggle to get heard.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do at Advocacy Focus. As a team, we are passionate about our staff, and work to promote and embrace a set of core values to underpin our good work in the community
