Objectives

Adult & Community Development Academy (ACDA) is a community-based organisation established in 2009 that is committed to supporting local communities in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon with accessing a range of essential education, training and employment opportunities and programmes.

Our main function is to develop and foster a ‘community spirit’ by empowering disadvantaged people in reaching their full potential by actively working with other agencies, groups and organisations in supporting these individuals to overcome challenges like isolation and lack of education through advice, education and training. 

Activities

We currently offer the following services:

  • Individual, impartial and confidential advice and guidance - to unemployed individuals on a range options from citizenship, benefits, money advice, identifying suitable training courses, learning programmes etc.
  • Education and Training - ranging from improving their skills and confidence in ESOL, Literacy/ Numeracy and ICT, through to social skills training for young children.
  • Volunteer Development – training and assistance through the provision of volunteering opportunities for individuals who have very little or no work experience.

Employment Support - assisting unemployed individuals or those with low-incomes who want to get back to work through offering skills training, CV writing, confidence building, job searching, careers advice and work placements.
