Objectives

Ad Infinitum is a Bristol based multi-award-winning theatre company that has been touring nationally and internationally for the past 15 years. As a LGBTQIA+, working class and ethnic minority-led theatre company, we embrace difference through collaboration, enabling a more representative theatre culture to exist by placing those minoritised by society at the heart of our work.

We collaborate to tell stories, play and disrupt. We work with artists, activists and communities to create transformative theatre, revolutionise audiences and change the world.

Activities

We make theatre. Theatre is transformative, experiential, expressive, visceral and physical; it brings people together, shifts societal and cultural perspectives, provokes thought, inspires, creates empathy and galvinises us to change the world we live in for the better.

We play. Play is a serious instrument for disruption, freedom and change. Disruption is necessary to challenge power structures, dominant narratives, canons & hierarchies, to create space for the underrepresented in society. We play with artists and organisations from all over the globe, celebrating and learning from different perspectives, cultures, realities and histories.

We collaborate. Collaboration is strength; it connects us through common interest, helps us to identify barriers and tear them down. It brings openness and enables a diversity of voices to flourish. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do - the subject matter, the way we make work and those we work with.

We move. The body is at the heart of our theatre making which is rooted in the physical. Bodies are powerful communicators. They overcome the boundaries of language and unmask the universal human condition.
