Objectives

Imagine a safer world where young people and communities can peacefully co-exist and thrive by embracing inclusivity and diversity.  We live in a world filled with terrorism and violence that does not value young people and communities and doesn't allow them to live in a safe and peaceful society. The Active Change Foundation is the only organisation with 14 years of first-hand experience in preventing extremism in the UK. We have an unrivalled level of knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of countering radicalisation and extremism due to personal and field experience. We protect young people & communities from extremism and violence in all its forms by raising public awareness, challenging conflict by encouraging dialogue, and developing resilience through training and our direct support services. We believe young people and communities should have the resilience, capacity and skills to manage and address chaos, conflict and extremism.

Activities

Our services are aimed at building the resilience of individuals to withstand the influences of terrorism, extremism and messages of hate. We achieve this through our Young Leaders Programme, Outreach & Engagement, youth centre, interventions, female imitative and our open-door policy.

Our strategic aims are:

1. To enable young people and communities to identify, understand and protect themselves from extremism and violence.

2. Personal and emotional development to increase confidence and self-esteem through engagement, mentoring and targeted programmes.

3. Develop the resilience, capacity and skills to enable young people to manage and address chaos, conflict and extremism.
