Objectives

Act4Africa Uganda is an award-winning NGO, working with long-standing partner and registered charity Act4Africa UK. We aim to reduce poverty and transform communities through our health, education, agriculture and livelihood programmes. Reducing gender inequality is central to our work. In our experience, it provides the most fundamental obstacle to eradicating poverty.

Activities

Our work in Uganda includes a Kindergarten, a programme to support girls to continue their secondary education (Grow A Girl), a holistic programme to support vulnerable adolescent mothers, and community outreach on health and gender empowerment. All of our programmes are run from Kathy's Centre, our base of operations in Mayuge, Uganda.

Our UK team work remotely, leading all tasks related to fundraising and resourcing our Uganda colleagues.
