Objectives

Acorns Children’s Hospice is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and their families, across the heart of England. In the last year Acorns has supported over 840 children and more than 1060 families, including those who are bereaved. The Three Counties Hospice, based in Worcester, supports families from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and South Warwickshire.

Activities

We provide tailored nursing care for each child including short breaks, emergency and end of life care at each of our three hospices.

Our hospices provide a happy home-from-home environment where children can experience all kinds of great activities, meet new friends or relax and enjoy some quiet time. Activities can include enjoying a splash in our hydrotherapy pool, experiencing the sensations evoked in the multi-sensory room, or taking part in our many themed events, trips and parties.

We also provide support to our families through activity and support groups and through our outreach service, which provides vital support for our children and families in their own homes.
