Acorn Multi Academy Trust is a group of seven primary schools working across East Devon and West Dorset, who share a common set of values and a desire to work together to provide high quality education for the children in our communities.
Through being a group, we can offer more to both staff and young people than any single school could offer alone.
Acorn Multi Academy Trust believes passionately that children are most likely to learn best when they are happy, safe and engaged in their learning. All children have a right to a quality education regardless of background or ability, and have an entitlement to the opportunity of a secure progression route in their learning and development. We believe that schools are stronger when they work in collaboration; operating within a ‘family’ of schools and are open to a true sense of partnership. We grow the effectiveness and sustainability of our schools by developing the people within them and believe that through shared and equitable responsibility for quality and outcomes, we achieve more.
Each of our schools provides a broad, rich and exciting curriculum which places personal and social development, health and well-being on a par with academic achievement and prepares our young people for the next stage of their learning.
We provide a supportive and collaborative environment so that each school, teacher and pupil can learn from each other and benefit from opportunities to develop and progress. At the same time, the ethos and distinctive identity of all our schools is celebrated, respected and actively promoted.
CPD is a strong feature in Acorn Multi Academy Trust for all staff and is a positive draw for EQTs and student interns. Staff share excellent practice through formal, professional collaboration.
Christian values and character are a core aspect of the four Church schools within the trust and the trust works to protect and develop this in partnership with the Church at Parish and Diocesan level.
