ACE Cardiff aims to support young people from disadvantaged areas of Cardiff through out-of-school learning clubs which supplement their school education and help them to reach their academic potential. Academic difficulty at a young age can have a knock on affect in later life so we hope to prevent or lessen these problems and allow the children to succeed in later life.
We run out-of-school learning clubs teaching the core subjects (English, maths and science) to primary and secondary children, with support from tutor assistants. We have the aim of having no more than 3 children per adult, allowing the children to be engaged and get focused support which can often be difficult in a traditional school environment.
