Activities

Abbeyfield is one of the largest voluntary sector UK-wide providers of housing and care for older people, committed to alleviating loneliness while maintaining independence. Our vision is ‘making more time for older people’ and we see volunteers as crucial in helping us achieve this.

Abbeyfield provides housing for older people at different stages of later life. We offer a range of accommodation designed to encourage independence, dignity and sensitivity. This includes sheltered houses, care homes, independent living schemes and we have homes specifically designed to support older people with dementia
