The society's mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents at the Highlands Care Home in Woodbridge, Suffolk. The society is fully autonomous, but is also a member society of the Abbeyfield Society, a national provider of care homes.
The principal aim is to provide and maintain a residential home offering a high degree of practical care (excluding nursing care) to frail elderly people no longer able to cope with the practicalities of living in their own home. There are 24 rooms with a high occupancy rate.
