Objectives

Our organisation provides a range of projects and events that benefits the local and regional communities (pan-London).

Our aims are

  • parents and carers living and caring for a child or adult on the autistic spectrum and other related conditions
  • raising awareness and understanding from different perspectives
  • outreaching to autistic adults and autistic parents
  • outreaching also to the Black African, Black Caribbean, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities tackling the taboos and myths around Autism
  • outreaching to the general public, statutory organisations, charities and local businesses

Autism is a complex lifelong developmental condition. It's a hidden disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.  The challenges autistic people and their faces is the lack of specialists provision and services offering support focusing on day to day living.

Activities

Activities and events, we host vary depending on the funding we apply for. Our main activities is running coffee mornings, workshops and events benefitting the entire family and communities.

  • Updates on GOV.UK and Legislations (for those who don’t have access to the information)
  • Signposting to other voluntary organisations
  • Healthy relationships and social safety programmes

We have SEN specialists in education, health and wellbeing who support the sessions.
